Inspired by the Austin Yellow Bike Project, the San Francisco Yellow Bike Project is a volunteer-powered, community bike shop that transforms donated bicycles, parts, and other cycling resources into functional bikes for the SF Bay Area.
Our mission: Getting more people on more bikes on the streets of San Francisco. In addition to running a community bike shop, SFYBP offers a free education in bicycle mechanics through our volunteer bicycle salvaging & refurbishing programs and celebrates cycling.
We have a shop space! 25 Division Street.
Shop Hours:
Monday (except for the last Monday of the month): 6-9pm
Tuesday: 6-9pm
Wednesday: 2-5pm
Thursday: 6-9pm
2nd & 4th Sunday: 3-6pm (FTW - Femme, Trans/Genderqueer, Women ONLY)
Or contact us for an appointment to volunteer or work on your bike!
Collective meeting:
Last Monday of the month, 7pm
